You may notice that different countries have their own way of classifying different styles of bikes. In the U.S., the bicycle industry places electric bikes into three separate categories: Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3.

Samebike bikes come to you with a max speed limit of 20mph, which means they are regulated in the same manner as traditional bikes. That means you're not required to get a license for it, and no need to worry if you can buy insurance for it.
Considering the different requirements for different riding styles, we reserved the method for you to unlock the speed limit yourself. Please note before you unlocking it:
If there's something missing, damaged, or different between your bike and the one in the video. Please stop assembling and contact us for help.
1. Plug the charger into an outlet, the charger indicator lights green. 2. Connect the charger to an used battery, the indicator will turn red. 3. When the charger indicator turns back to green, disconnect it.
1. The charged battery settled in the battery socket properly. 2. Turn on the battery with the key or the red switch on the battery. 3. Press the Mmode button for 3 seconds.
1. Click the > up or >down button to change the PAS level. 2. Kick the pedal or apply the throttle to ride with motor assist. - PAS level must not be 0. 3. Press and hold the >down button to walk the bike at 6km/h motor speed.
Press the >up button for 3 seconds.
When riding with pedal-assist or throttle, press the >down button for 3 seconds to cruise.
When you're cruising, press the >down button for 3 seconds or pull the brake level to stop.
1. Turn on the display.
2. Connect the device to the USB-A port at the bottom of the display.
When turning on the display, you will see all content show up like the figure below. After the system self-check, the display will show the correct information about the bike.
There're three area on the screen:
Display the currentCUR, max, or averageAVG speed in miles or kilometers per hour
How to change: long press the Mmode and >up arrow button.
Display the distance traveled by a single tripTRIP or all tripsODO, bike uptimeTIME, system voltageVOL, or system currentCUR. [ i ]
How to change: short press the M button.
Display the battery power remaining, motor gear level, and other statuses of the bike.
Show on the display when the headlamp and tail light is on.
How to operate lights: long-press the > button.
Show on the display when using cruise control.
How to cruise: long-press the >down arrow button when riding.
Show on the display when using the walk mode.
How to walk the bike: long-press the > button when stopped.
Show on the display when operating any brake lever.
This means the motor cut-off function of the brake lever is working.
For any other icon not mentioned above, it means we haven't used it on your bike. If there's a failure icon show on the display, please contact us for further help.
Usually, customers can enter the setting/programming menu of the display by long-pressing the > and > button. All setting parameters of the display are list here.

Range 1-3brightest. The backlight will light when turning on the headlamp.

We locked most of the settings of the display to avoid bike failures caused by misoperation. There are no methods for customers to unlock and change those settings. Usually you can change the not locked parameters by following steps:
